The SAGA SLGA “Decade of Eminence” Conference

Marking ten years of the Strengthening Advisory Capacities for Land Governance in Africa (SLGA) programme. The gathering brought together partners, alumni, and key stakeholders from across the continent to celebrate a decade of achievements in land governance, reflect on lessons learned, and chart the way forward for the initiative. 

The event provided a platform to showcase SLGA’s impact in building capacity, supporting academic and policy-oriented work, and strengthening regional collaborations in land governance. Participants reflected on the importance of knowledge exchange, alumni networks, and sustainable partnerships in advancing the African Union’s land agenda. Looking ahead, the Decade of Eminence reaffirmed SLGA’s commitment to fostering inclusive, collaborative, and innovative approaches that continue to shape the future of land governance in Africa.
